How to Reach Shimla

It is very easy to find out about how to reach Shimla. If by air, one will be able to catch direct flights from Delhi. Quite a lot of domestic flights can also be caught from Chandigarh, which has connectivity with Delhi. In others words there’s an easy travel route from Delhi to Shimla. If by railway, Shimla can be reached from so many cities mentioned earlier. There is a factor behind the Shimla having more railway transport arrangement than that of air and roadway. The rail tracks are set through mountains and hills. And the scenic beauty while travelling in trains cannot be missed. One of the rail tracks, the Kalka Shimla Railway, has its name listed in the prestigious Guinness Book for it has the steepest rise in height for a distance of 96 km.


And while talking about the roadway, the network of roadways is fantastically arranged by National Highway 22 with Chandigarh. Buses and private vehicles can be driven on the roads smoothly. As far as the walking grade is concerned, the city is in a hilly region and has high altitude. This may create a problem to the ones who have asthma or other heart diseases. Otherwise it may seem a pretty adventurous journey while walking through steeps and inclines. The walking route through mountains can also be enjoyed but should not be practiced unless experienced. Children and old people might find it difficult and should avoid these routes.
