Location of Bandhavgarh National Park
The Bandhavgarh National Park is located in the Jabalpur Districts in Madhya Pradesh. The nearest airport to the location is Khajuraho which is only 230 km away. The National Park is well connected to Delhi, Agra and Varanasi with highways. The entire park has a total area of 105 square km and with the steep ranges; the buffer is 400 square km wide spread. There are total 32 hills which surrounds the area. The National park has a forest which comprises of grasslands, Sal, Saga and bamboo grooves.
Ways to reach The Bandhavgarh National Park
There are a lot of routes through which you can reach the national park. Jabalpur is located in Madhya Pradesh and the state has a well connected roadway and railway system. Talking about the air route the tourists can get down at Khajuraho which is the nearest airport to the national Park. The place is on the Katni – Bilaspaur route of the South Eastern Railway and the nearest railway just 30 km away is Umaria. Another station is Satna which is a bit far as compared to Umaria. By Road also you can reach the place and for that you have to take the Satna – Umaria and the Rewa – Umaria highway.
Best Time to visit the Sanctuary
It is a common notion that winter is the best time to visit the wildlife sanctuaries so that you can take the pleasure of the wildlife adventure. The tour can be best enjoyed if you visit the Bandhavgarh National Park within November to June. In the rainy season the Park remains closed and thus you cannot enter the National park.

There are 37 other species of mammals and talking about birds, you can really some beautiful birds. Several types of reptiles are also there and also there are many beautiful butterflies. But most importantly The Royal Bengal Tigers are the main attraction of this Wildlife Sanctuary. There are more than 400 tigers in the national park and thus you can spot many tigers.
